- R&D in Microbial Fuel Cell (MFC), Microbial fuel cells are an emerging technology which transform biodegradable substrates from wastewater or crops into electricity. Typically the material of the anode of microbial fuel cell are carbon and stainless steel, in the shape of either abrush or mesh. In this study we examined using a porous wood charcoal. The main purpose of this study was to determine the application of wood charcoal for MFC electrode and relate the pore size of the charcoal to its capacity to generate electricity and treat wastewater., joint research
